This Friday we are starting our new Club Day program, with the addition of two new clubs! Come and join us!
Science Club
This semester we will track a solar storm and participate in NASA's
IRIS (Interface, Region, Imaging, Spectrograph) Challenge. Topics will
be: The Sun, Solar Storms, Solar Cycle, Auroras, Solar Missions,
Instruments, & People. Participants will construct their own
spectroscopes. There will also be an introduction to rocketry and
Newton's 3 laws of motion.
Cost of this club will be $50 per child.
Mentor/Supervisor: Victoria Schweizer
Meeting Times: Fridays from 9:30 – 11:30 am
Starting/Ending Dates: February 15th – end of April, with optional meeting days through May.
Target Age Group: Grades 3 – 6

Writing Club
If you wish to participate in the Writing club, please complete this
form. The Writing Club meets on Fridays from 1pm - 3pm at the Songbird
Learning Center, home of Learning Options, Inc. Cost for this program
is $50 per member per semester. Members need to be comfortable with
their writing skills, and be prepared to spend a good portion of the
meeting time writing and typing up work. Please bring a notebook or laptop (ipod, etc.) to keep track of your writing.

Target Age Group: All school age students who have a desire to write and who can read and write.
